Spring 2026

A Note from the Co-Directors — Spring 2026

Dear Partners & Allies,

This spring marked a significant moment for the psychedelic field. The administration's executive order signaled growing federal commitment to accelerating treatments for serious mental illness, including psychedelic therapies. For us, it was a powerful affirmation of what we've long believed: these therapies are moving closer to broader implementation, and the work of preparing public systems for their arrival cannot wait.

As the pace of progress accelerates, so does the urgency of our mission. PMHA Alliance exists to help ensure that when these breakthrough therapies become available, they are not limited to those who can pay out of pocket. We are building the evidence, implementation models, and Medicaid pathways needed to support safe, effective, and publicly fundable access to psychedelic-assisted therapy for the millions of Americans who depend on public mental-health systems.

In this Spring Update, we're excited to share progress from across that effort, including major milestones in New Mexico and New Jersey, the launch of recruitment for our first pilot cohorts, and our new website, www.pmhaa.org. To everyone helping make this work possible—thank you. The groundwork we build today will help determine how quickly and how broadly these therapies can reach the people who need them most.

We'd love to hear what you're seeing, learning, and dreaming into across the field. If you'd like to connect, please reach out to Mary Lim.

Happy reading.

With gratitude,
Hanifa & Dara
